Food Notes: Sandoval to bring restaurant to Nashville
Television personality and chef Richard Sandoval is slated to bring one of his restaurants to a downtown Nashville hotel.
Lona, billed as a modern Mexican restaurant, is set to open in early 2025 in the Noelle boutique hotel at 200 Fourth Ave. N., the Nashville Business Journal has reported. The space was previously home to restaurant Makeready L&L.
Richard Sandoval Hospitality concepts are found in 60 locations in the U.S. and internationally. Nashville will mark the third location for the Lona concept, following Fort Lauderdale and Tampa, Fla.
Lona's menu features house-made churros, ceviche, tacos and fajitas, among other dishes. It will also offer a drink menu featuring margaritas.
“Lona aims to redefine the Mexican dining experience by combining traditional flavors with contemporary techniques and artistic presentation,” the Lona website states. “At Lona, guests will be immersed in a lively atmosphere that pays homage to Mexico’s rich culinary heritage while embracing the spirit of innovation.”
